People Helping People is a list of charitable causes in our area that need donations or volunteers. The group is seeking volunteers to serve as elves who help children with their holiday shopping from noon to 4 p.m. weekends at the Treetop Shop at Park Place in Peninsula, as well as volunteers to wrap gifts from 1 to 4 p.m. weekdays. It is raising money by selling candles made by Sunshine Candle Works in Zoar.Votive candles are $4 and are available in four scents: Tack Room (leather), Hay Bale (fresh hay), Feed Bag (oats) and Pine Shavings (pine).
